Hot Tools Ceramic or Gold curling iron?

I am trying to decide whether to buy the hot tools ceramic curling iron (the purple one) or the gold plated one. I know ceramic is better for your hair, but I have heard from some youtube reviews and others that it does not curl the hair as well, and i have VERY DIFFICULT TO CURL hair.

So which one, Ceramic or Gold?
